Check levels of oil and brake fluid are correct.
Tyres need to be within the legal limit (a minimum of 1.6mm), you might be able to see that the wear levels on your tyres are low around the edge, this is a good indicator that tyres need to be changed. We can help point this out to you if you are unsure - then you will know for next time too!
We don't check spare tyres in our MOT test but it is as well for you to check them anyway - it is good practice to be safe.
Check your windscreen for any noticeable damage – MOTs regulations check that any existing damage isn't’t larger than 40mm of the swept area of the screen (where your windscreen wipers go across), or 10mm is in the central view of the drive side.
Check that your exhaust is not leaking or making any unusual noises. Again, if you are unsure just ask and we will be happy to help.
